It becomes more of a horror once you get past the 30% mark (a psychological horror from the looks of it), but it's already pretty predictable so far.

I can not for the life of me determine how this is a horror, but I suppose it's just taking long to build suspense

I said Irish but the narrator and author is Scottish so I apologize 😭. I get the vibe this will be folk horror but it also seems to be somewhat in the "weird-girl-lit" lane

Honestly, this is like listening to someone prattle on about the most mundane parts of their day, but in an endearing way (probably because of the Irish accent) where you want to listen
