I'm never going to stop being sad that Cassandra and even Naomi never say "I love you" back to Cal. Like, I'm glad he finally found Ryan, and he gets that from him now, but the fact that he so desperately needed to hear those words from *anyone* (insert spoilers here).

Honestly, I'm kinda surprised Naomi doesn't say it, since she barely remembers life with their mom, and I'm sure Cal said it all the time to her.

Ooh, thank you, Cal Walker (and Alexandra St. Pierre) for introducing me to Jane's Got A Gun (on my forth listen or the book, apparently).

Wait, I just realized Zaba starts off giving Ryan a way deeper voice than he does by the end of the book. I wonder how much of this is just finding the character, and how much was intentional - something about Ryan letting go of a need to always present masculinity after accepting his sexuality.

Finding myself needing to remind myself that I actually enjoy Alexander Cendese in the right context. And in duet as Callum Walker is definitely the right context.
