I really wanted to like this series but I’m having a very difficult time getting into it. For the most part, I find it very slow and boring. But I also don’t like a lot of Prince Jing’s behavior. He’s overly aggressive, jealous and protective. I mean breaking a man’s jaw and all his teeth just for being a pushy salesman and trying to get Li Yu to buy something? That’s a way too extreme…

I mean... He is a tyrant and controlling. It is a "turn your brain off and enjoy the cute silly OP moments" type of read haha.

I don’t care much for books that I have to turn my brain off to enjoy. I guess I was also just taken aback because this one was sold to me as the most lighthearted, fluffy, green flag danmei. To me, this type of behavior is not green flag. I would personally consider it to be pretty toxic. Maybe part of it is that my sister once had a boyfriend who was very controlling and jealous like that and it was not endearing or sweet at all. He made her life pretty miserable for a while before she finally broke up with him. His jealousy even damaged her relationships with a lot of her friends.
But that's one of the very very few scenes he shows his tyrantness. Overall, he's very sweet and supportive. He goes along with things Li Yu wants, and only keeps those that want to hurt Li Yu away.I doesn't have a deep deep plot if that's what you're looking for. So if that's not what you are into, makes sense. But as someone who isn't into toxic stories, this is NOTHING and is very fluffy compared to many others. As the story goes on it gets cuter.
But I understand if you decide to drop it. 🥹

I guess that's why people call it fluffy because there is like 97% fluff and such. 🥹
