How is there like 10 pages left and this is the first time the big bad has been on page.

This book has an annoying habit of constantly using commas when something else like a semicolon/dash/period should be used.

Eg "“I would never harm Anam,” I uttered, knowing it was true when I still had control of who I was, but with the djinn power, how could I know for sure?"
Like that isn’t even a proper sentence.

For her party she’s having fire breathers INSIDE the house?! Where was the editor.

Why is Noor just her servant now, like she just gets bossed around.

Everything is just so convenient.

I eat up YA cringe but this is unrealistic and the characters are meh. It’s giving “and then everyone clapped”.

It’s not offensively bad, I’m just not loving it. It’s just fine. The characters are ok, Noor has completely lost her character for some reason, and I’m not sure why we keep getting random flashbacks.

Fine so far but I need something to happen.
