i need to think about the ending but the short version is that Lee is the fucking best and I'm glad that Adam and Aaron r down and out for the count so that Cal and Alba can be happy together

hands down one of the most beautiful books ive ever read and also the scale of it is so distressing. because it takes place over the course of decades, everyone grows up and then dies. no one is lastingly happy nor do they make any real change, they all just live with all its ups and downs and then they pass.
