I don’t know what to feel about his whole crew dying except for Valka. While I find that she can hold her own weight, I do feel like it’s pretty convenient she’s the only one left alive. That she wouldn’t be there in the thick of fighting even though I know she’s doing something important.

So there’s a possibility that Syriani is looking for the gods who could be alive. I wonder what he’ll do if he does. Part of me believes he’s arrogant enough to take that god’s place however it takes. At this point, I don’t even know if Hadrian would make it out alive.

It just goes to show that as primitive and underdeveloped the Cielcin seem, they seem to have some similarities with humanity in how they operate. There’s something religious about the gods that they worship, that Syriani’s motivations rely on his faith that he would ascend to godhood because his gods serve the truth and they can only made truth by eradicating lies like humanity.

I am gettired tired of Hadrian suffering since Syriana likes playing with his food and in the guise that he honestly believes that his purpose serves the truth. At this point, I can’t wait for this to be over. Not in a bad way, just need a mood shift and I still don’t believe his entire company is dead.

How Hadrian is able to endure the torture for a year, I don’t know. But there’s at least more answers. Syriani also saw the vision of him killing Hadrian and destroying humanity. That he truly believes that the universe created as it had been is false and he blames the Quiet for it. Still, he doesn’t know how Hadrian’s ability works so that might be an advantage.
