What an unexpected climactic moment and subsequent resolution. Not what I anticipated at all, but it was quite beautiful! The last few pages went super hard.

Intercutting between Mort’s more dramatic running-out-of-time story with Death doing random human things just to feel something is very funny and entertaining.

Definitely the most fun of the books so far. Very unlikely to not be my favorite of the first 4 at this rate.

It was already damning to Equal Rites that I never felt particularly compelled to note or highlight much of it outside of the opening couple pages.

The amount that I’ve already done that for this book rivals that of TLF, if not already exceeding that. Obviously that’s a good sign. I’m in love already 🥹
