This book has felt so tedious, and the author less than stellar exposition and description skills are starting to become more obvious at this point in the book. I also think setting up this seemingly futile situation doesn't work as well because there are 5 more books, so obviously he gets out of this. Idk, I'll need a break after this, I think.

Might need to take a break from the series after this book tbh.

And the first line to make me laugh in the entire series is "what the hell color is chartreuse?" of all things. It's more or less the exact question my coworker asked the first time he ever heard the word chartreuse, so it made me cackle.

For all thw action that's happening, it's oddly monotonous

"Hello Crawler. As you're about to find, this is a very special book"

Is that...the start of actual plot depth? This isn't just a fun little entertainment series?
