8/17– I liked the poem a little and the footnote a lot. 8/18– Blake! Loooove the melody of his verses. I really would love to read more of his works and perhaps a biography.

8/15– Macbeth sounds a little depressed in Act V there. Hmm maybe I should read some Shakespeare plays. I haven’t really read any since college. 8/16– I may be too tired to get this one. Or maybe I need to read the full poem to understand it.

I liked: August 10, 11, 12. Sonnet 18 by Shakespeare will always be that girl. I did not like so much: August 9, 13, 14 (14 was so close, but he rhymed “wind” and “mind,” and I can’t with that.

Somehow I think I skipped a day unwittingly, because tonight I read August 5&6. How did I skip 5? Oh well. It was “Memory” by Yeats, and it did not make sense until the footnote explained it. And then it was full of yearning and heartbreak :( The 6th was “Song: To Celia” by Ben Jonson, and it was lovely. I find I frequently need a second or third read to fully grasp each poem. This book is so nice!

August 2-3 I liked. August 4…eh. I was intrigued and the style was great, but idk if I can get behind Percy Shelly lol. I am curious about Prometheus now though.
