i am getting through this SO SLOW it’s incredibly dense (hardest book i’ve ever read for sure) but SO FASCINATING
quite intrigued by the author comparing hegelian and keynesian thought, the idea i can’t get out of my head is their common fear of revolution & anxiety around human nature leading them both to believe in a strong, involved state
keynes may be a bourgeois bastard but he’s our bourgeois bastard

My financial advisor keeps throwing around anti-capitalist ideas like a "free market won't solve the financial crisis,". However my argument is that Keynesianism was a term coined in 1930. Therefore, referring to my chuddah teachings, there will always be an economic crisis, therefore there is no economic crisis. This is an oxymoronic system that will see me invest in bitcoin, just for the nft to come take its place. My bank account is zero, however in this economy -- that is a perpetual crisis, it is better to not work, and let other people work for you. It is not slavery, it is my monthly universal credit payment. Proving that there is no recession, when I don't feel the effects.

Therefor..."The Chuddite Dictator known as Alex Wingy has been found dead following the failure of ArcherNipNFTs, infamously named the Great Chud-Out of 2026. Sources close to the cutie pie suggest he accumulated upwards of £2.8m in Universal Credit, distributing photos of his backside which he referred to as his "Benefit Bums". More to come from this story here on BBC.

his basic idea is that the government should spend hard when times are bad and save hard when times are good so that the economic cycle flattens out a little
his ideas get SUPER popular in economics circles whenever recessions happen, he’s also famously impossible to read so i’m hoping this book will go deep on his primary work
