There's so much about Sam that I can't really relate to, and yet she still feels so very familiar to me. Like someone I could have been, if things had gone just a little differently. A version of myself spied in the mirror through cracked eyes.

I can't pinpoint when it happened, but I am deeply in love with this book now. The slow, super-interior voice that surprised me so much early on is now something I relish.
