Just a solid history book 👍 I think I prefer Baptist's The Half Has Never Been Told when it comes to exploring how plantations and enslavement made US capitalism, but this book touches on a lot that that book doesn't. I also rly like how it's incorporating information from Haiti and Cuba as well as the US (this is definitely a book about the US, though).
