Book club read. This is pretty bad so far. Patronising, fat-phobibc, ... quite insulting to this reader's sense of what is and is not funny.
I read McCall-Smith before and didn't rate it, but I thought I'd try again for the sake of the book club read. It's going to be my last book by the author.
Thankfully, this is a very short read.
