Parenting is hard - this is such a helpful reminder of how to support our kids growth in real ways vs hot takes off social media. It's not "gentle" parenting it's "be gentle with yourself and them, you're learning and so are they, boundaries matter and consistency is kind, you can be compassionate without condoning things that are not ok"

So far this book has been great. Often when I read things about rising kids I find it too specific or too general, things that don't line up with the brain development stuff I know or don't take into consideration the role parents have. This book seems to balance all of this, it's specific and general, it's focused on understanding kids and supporting parents in that versus telling you what to do. It's more like why.

Definitely a helpful resource when navigating toddlerhood and it's written in such a way that you can read it between calls for "mammmmmmmma" haha
