This book keeps showing me that the Jedi and the Republic have just become wimps. Once again, what are they doing? How do you do diplomacy and have meetings with a group of "people" who not only murder and torture at will, but also ENJOY IT?

Someone please accidentally boot the traitor off of one of Coruscant's tall buildings. I'm normally pacifist, but this book's getting ridiculous!

I like a good deal of this; a few things I don't like. And some parts are just so damn hard to read because of the brutality. And yesterday I realized that this may not be the conclusion to the Nihil problem--I could have sworn I read somewhere that it WOULD be the conclusion. I hope the brutality doesn't happen again in this book and then next, because then I'll start skimming, and then I might start DNFing....

This really has gotten more exciting and tension-filled to me. I'm going to read a bunch more of it tonight. I still don't see what the Jedi can do, except maybe take a multipronged approach, maybe the story's leaning that way. Who knows....

I don't know what the hell the characters are going to do to fix all the sick insanity in this. And what's worse: the CHARACTERS don't know what the hell they're going to do.

So hard to read--what are the Jedi doing? They need to get their act together and appoint some Harry Callahans and Shadowmans, or else they and the galaxy will never survive. There's a whole big middle between being a psycho and a wimp; the Callahans and Shadowmans are in that middle.

When I start reading something, I read slower and update frequently. But my reading speed'll now pick up and my updates'll dwindle.

While I can logically understand how people like Ro and Shryke (or whoever) became what they are, I still find them repugnant; they delight in torturing others. Sickos. When will it end....

"And now there was talk about trying to negotiate peace. Bell was in favor of any solution that eschewed violence, but the truth was, he didn't trust, for even a minute, that peace was what the Nihil wanted."

--Don't do it!! Are the Jedi crazy? They seriously need to talk to Captain Janeway in Star Trek about scorpions lol! I want a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover. I think I'd faint if I heard news about that!

Everything's such a mess at this time in Star Wars history. It's very sad, very dark. But, I knew this going in and accepted it years ago....

I bought this a few years ago, and I took too long to get to it. The story has started right off with being so disturbing and upsetting for a character--ugh. The Nihil are just horrible!! I soooo want to see them get what's hopefully coming to them. Light And Life to JLG! Not going to say who that is because that would spoil too much.
