I like that Stewart is taking time with Lin and Jovis' relationship.

Obviously, there is going to be a revelation that the foundational myth of the Sukai dynasty is not as accurate as it is in the history books, but I'm still not entirely sure what the Alanga are/were.

Why would Gio helped Phalue overthrow her father only to later plot overthrowing her? Hmmm....

Did Phalue and Ranami married in the last book? I don't remember. Either way, glad they're still together, despite how much Ranami annoyed me.

Nisong's plotline is getting interesting.

So were the Alanga like sealed away somewhere or something and Lin defeating her father awakened them?

I still love that both Lin and Jovis are both capable doofuses.

Liking this so far, it's just so much is going on in my personal life that focus has been difficult.

Glad Andrea Steward mentioned most of everything that had happened in the previous book, because I remember so little.
