This book is too sympathetic to Kate. Abby is always apologizing when ACTUALLY she's valid for not wanting to stay w/ closeted girl who wants to keep her around + asks her to move to Berkeley to stay together but also hides her from her conservative Christian family and has no interest in addressing the matter. Also this book is so painfully WHITE. Elephant in the room! I'm sure they're racist! But Abby's wrong?!
