I made the mistake of perusing a couple of Goodreads reviews before starting in on this one. I usually like to start a book with zero expectations.

I don't know what folks were on about the lead male character being mean and grumpy. I find him to be quirkily witty. And the lead female is the mean/sharp-tongued one.

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I don't think he's mean. Flawed? Absolutely. Not mean.
