I absolutely despise the cheating trope. This isn’t really cheating because they don’t have a solid commitment; however, they have talked about seeing each other after she gets through the trial against her stalker ex, and she has sent several homemade art pieces with a note expressing her desire to see him, be with him in the future. He searches for her, knows all this and then he sleeps with another woman. Ugh.
