and now i'm tearing up
"My breath catches, both at the beauty of the piece and its darkness. It’s a younger Hopper curled in a ball in a closet. Only a small sliver of light comes in from under the door, and his fingers trace it as if searching for the one bright spot.
Omar pulls Hopper into a hug. “This is beautiful work. And it deserves to burn. May the weight of this history go up in flames as well.”"

"To be fair, I do stalk him, but not in a bad way. Also, he started it. That’s when she points out Liam had been running a government-led investigation at the time, which doesn’t count as stalking.
We have agreed to disagree on that point."
🥹 i'm just so fond of hopper.
