This book was so dry and boring just MCs talking about family drama and while I felt for FMC and the tabloid shame they didn’t even really make it a thing when they got together again. The banter was boring mmc literally just wanted to get his dick wet and didn’t seem that into FMC. He kept calling her babe which I despised. MCs were at time insufferable with their inner dialogue

I didn’t see any character growth and the fact that we had to wait for spice just for it to be basic as hell. I just kept getting annoyed. Finally the whole point of the fake marriage with the kid and there was barely any storyline with him, why bother. Also them mentioning she’s in debt but never bringing it up again and her health scare again not bringing it up again why?

I stayed because the set up of the book was different than the typical romance but man was it disappointing. FMC and mmc were best friends and lovers who just kept missing each other. I saw a rec by author saying there was yearning but didn’t feel it and mmc possessive but all he does is check her location on an app. This is average behavior
