I would’ve gone crazy talking to Desmond. He knew that they were all trapped. Trapped against their will. Forced to have sex with his father and his older brother. Yet all he did was visit Mya.

Would you believe your father if he told you this story? If you were in a chair located in a secret room, tucked into a secret garden protected by password protected doors watching him tell an absurd story next to an almost naked stranger? Not me, not at all

The beginning of this story reminds me of all the true crime stories I’ve listened to or watched in which the police never treat sex workers like humans or victims just another perpetrator. It’s infuriating even if Mya helped the gardener eventually she wasn’t there by choice.
