I haven’t cried over a book in a long time but this completely wrecked me. Every person responsible for hurting a child shoot be shot out of a cannon into a volcano 🌋

Would you believe your father if he told you this story? If you were in a chair located in a secret room, tucked into a secret garden protected by password protected doors watching him tell an absurd story next to an almost naked stranger? Not me, not at all

The beginning of this story reminds me of all the true crime stories I’ve listened to or watched in which the police never treat sex workers like humans or victims just another perpetrator. It’s infuriating even if Mya helped the gardener eventually she wasn’t there by choice.
