Okay, it seems things are finally getting interesting again somehow.

I am finding this second volume way more boring, just like it happened with A Tale of Two Cities. While here the writing style is less convoluted, it's still hard to read, and i feel some chapters don't add much to the story. I think i should read Dickens in translations first; not knowing how the story will end makes it hard to power through the dense boring parts....

End of volume one, in which we see Pip's childhood, as well as the main event that made him want more from this world. But where does his old world fit in?

I know little of TLH, but i still have been able to draw some connections... we'll see if they stay true.
