jg ballard really likes the word chromium. apparently, chromium is the element, and chrome is a metal plated with chromium. you learn something new every day. i think chrome is the right word for how he's using it, but chromium does sound cooler, so. just searched the book and he also uses chrome multiples times, alright man.

is starting
da big kahuna, starting now because 1) i finished all the hunger games book, 2) i've seen the movie twice (probably a third soon), read and watched interviews with cronenberg and ballard, 3) i might start a project where i need to read this finally. also intro to this edition by zadie smith, incredible pull, i want to read it so badly, but i'll wait until i finish the book. "i'm ready, i'm ready" in my dipset voice
