Just finished The Pursuer. What on earth was that? Very hard to follow, unlike some of favourite Cortázar stories such The Night Face-Up, Axoltl, and Instructions for John Howell (the last in a different collection). I am guessing that Cortázar was trying to create through prose the sense of a drug-addicted jazz saxophonist's inner and outer world.
