I thought the assault storyline and how she is coping and trying to overcome the trauma was handled decently. Their pregnancy was the worst part. This billionaire has a special appointment to have his wife checked out to talk about her pregnancy options they test her blood and run labs and then forget to tell her she’s pregnant for like a month. Not on brand with his over the top personality also she’s like 3 months at this point and has had no symptoms but faints and gets morning sickness the same day she tells mmc. I think the author could’ve at least thrown in some Easter eggs like unexplained aversion to foods or tired all of a sudden. Just felt like author threw it in last minute with no forethought.

Even tries to date while married and he uses spice and chemistry to fight her on that. All their spats jn the beginning-middle were good. However book does fall off toward the 3rd act. The drama with the step sister got annoying. Also the idea that they werent her dad’s real daughters but treated her like she didn’t belong? I guess they were going for Cinderella storyline.

Maybe my 3rd re-read. I like this because FMC is biracial which is cool. And mmc is unhinged when it comes to how obsessed he is with her. There’s an age gap but FMC is 24 so no biggie. Normally I don’t like when books move too fast with the spice but I could instantly feel the chemistry between these two. I love all the jealousy and hate sex and love how possessive mmc is but still she has male friends and
