I've officially started this one now. Reads well. Lots of action and description packed into a few pages. And some action. Already hoping to meet the impromptu translator again.

Been all over the place in the last few pages. A bit lost, but it doesn't seem to matter. Odd. Back at wedding with Yente still dying in a room of the same house as the wedding. Started this on the way to Smyrna.

Outside the my vocabulary ignorance
forcing me to stop and look things up (No, the kindle dictionary isn't very helpful with this book.) I'm totally into this book at this point. Still getting acquainted with the characters. I lose myself in the writing and that's a rare experience for me.

Read a few of the first pages of the preview and jumped on the bargain price. However, I think I'll start in earnest after I finish what is already open.
The pages are numbered from high to low. I'm currently on pg 961 of 965 though. It's an intentional numbering not an error.
