this book is very interesting, and it's def picky eating from a sociological/historical lens. is it for parents of picky eaters to create a game plan for helping kids? no. and i still think she hasn't addressed the ARFID of it all.

“these children aren’t picky” BC ITS A DIFFERENT TIME! food is trendy! i really need her to get away from this mindset.

hm. she’s really going to have to sell me. i feel like saying kids in other cultures “aren’t picky” like. yeah they are eating what is normal to THEM. if you present them w western food is it possible they will balk? i’m open to her hypothesis, but i want to see how she addresses cultural competence and the neurodivergence of it all
