The first stories seem written by someone who was still searching for his own voice, but after the seventh, very bukofskian, short story ("What's in Alaska?"), I read four great ones; "Neighbors", "Put Yourself in My Shoes", "Collectors", "Why, Honey?" (the latter reminded me of Stephen King's style), and they are getting better all the time.
