Book is hard going, but I'm close enough to the end I'm going to see it through. Author's casual dismissal of scientific and medical facts in favor of his subjective experience is becoming wearying to me.

Still entertaining, though belief hard to sustain. Author's clear air of "nonjudgmental superiority" sorta hard to bear. Also believe the author may be as lucky as he is skilled. Luck runs out, eventually.
