Very readable guide from O'Reilly. Finished first two chapters which included a great tour of a repository. Now working on ch. 3 about creating and editing repositories. Something that I know a little about but happy to learn more.

Finished first four chapters. Made me realize a significant mistake I had been making with GitHub. I have now changed my workflow so that when I'm starting on a new batch of fixes, I will create a branch first, then change files. Not change files and try to create a new branch from them.
This is an example of how while you can figure things out on your on, a comprehensive intro is very helpful.
