This book is so much better the second time through (except that a certain character keeps making me cry, which is rude, esp. when I didn't cry the first time). I only have 50 pages left, but I also have to go to sleep, and the gods of literature and love are all laughing at me right now.

"I want to be like you, Jules. Not this second, not right now, but someday. I want to take care of other people, other Shadowhunters, people who need me. I want to run an Institute."

This re-read and "The Last Stand of the New York Institute" are the last things between me and whatever emotional destruction lays at the end of this trilogy.

Freaking. Cassandra. Clare. I have screamed so many times in this book, from unholy excitement to frustration to absolute agony. I love this book. I love Julian nearly as much as I love Will. I ship ALL the ships (yes, even THAT one), which is something only two authors have EVER managed, and it's agony. AGONY, I tell you!

Clary, OW. Why do you insist on stomping on my emotions??
