See, this is the hardest thing for me to understand with stories like of great persecution against women...why don't they fight back? I knew three pages in that this woman's situation dictated that killing her aggressor would solve her problems and needed to get done. Of course, this would be a very different story if she did.

Were I in her situation Cyrus would already be dead and the story would be over.
