"The series is overall very good. Post apocalyptic earth stuff. The biggest hurdle I'm having with it is that the growth arc of the MC is apparently going to be her overcoming her deep xenophobia/racism. This is book 3 and there's only been hints of her overcoming it. It's distasteful, stupid, and makes it impossible for me to root for the MC. I don't like her because of it and it's coloring the entire series for me." — Apr 23, 2024 05:06AM

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”
