Melissa Stacy is finished
I finished my reread last night. This remains a 5-star, beloved book, though I definitely don't agree with everything in the book. But I understand where Rosenblatt is coming from, and why he believes his convictions. I can disagree with him and still love this book, and I do. <3

"You need to be as careful with what you say as a teacher as you are as a writer -- maybe more careful, because as soon as you go public with your words, your students will blow them about like rumors. What I teach my students about writing may become writing. I try not to overthink this, because the burden of competence is daunting." (pg 66)

This is a reread for me, and I love it just as much as I did 9 years ago.
