A very detailed book about a battle against "The Wild", who have decided that they don't want to stay beyond The Wall.
An epic siege takes place that rages on for over two weeks.
It maybe could be shorter, as the battles are very detailed.
However, on the whole, an enjoyable read.
I thought this was a stand alone novel, but the ending makes it clear that there's further battles to be had.

So far it seems to have similarities to a few other fantasy books I have read. Two separate factions, with a wall separating them. However, the residents of the walled region are encroaching into the non walled region.
