This second attempt is at a crawling pace. Much of it appears steeped in the Catskills, with an ominous whisper echoing from Wannsee.

Deft, if exhausting. A masterful plod from Ellis Island to the Shoa in three pages: such verve and yet weght. I am only apporaching the book in thrids, after time spent with Amis and Dostoevsky.
