I am sorry I am halfway through. This book is excellent. This book should have been read first. I read Echoes of a Distant Summer first. LeRoi King Tremain is quite a character. He can go from being a cold blooded killer to being very kind and compassionate. I see why his family members in the second book distanced themselves from him.

So far so good! I love his writing style. Johnson paints such vivid images with his writing.
