I hate this book. I love this book. It's killing me. It's making me feel alive. IDEK how I'm going to write a coherent review.

This book is a glorious piece of historical fiction and it hurts not be able to share any quotes because the prose is haunting and so sharp it physically hurts.
It’s like someone combined Stella Riley’s mastery of historical details with Judith Ivory’s knack for writing polarising characters, and then added a pinch of E. Brontë’s angst and gloominess…so obviously this is catnip for me. & swoony romance.

I swear I'd translate it myself if I had the time!
Makes me wonder how many other books we are missing :(
