I don't know why this book is so satisfying to me on every level but I'm not going to question it. Just brilliant, and this re-read was so so worth it. I've considered reading ACOWAR again but I've got too many books to get through so no more re-reads for me!

You know, despite the many times we're told how powerful Rhys is (that he's the most powerful High Lord in Prythian's history) I think it's a tad disappointing the the author didn't go all out with that. I really would have loved to see that power in action on a much bigger scale. Even so, I'm really enjoying this re-read - everything about it really - and oddly enough it makes for a perfect December read

I rarely re-read but I need the comfort that only my favourite High Lord can give me. So this is happening.

I'm telling you Vaishali, nothing is better than re-reading an old favorite. It is so heart-warming. I'm happy to see you enjoyed it the second time around too🙂

Maas can't go wrong with me and I just loved everything about reading through this, it was so comforting! Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to keep re-reading, I'm a truly slow reader for numerous reasons and I have too many TBR reads to catch up with so re-reading is a kind of rare phenomenon for me lol. I hope you get to fascinate over all the ins and outs of your favourite re-reads though my friend! ☺️
Ohhh I really wondered if you had read this series! You're awakening my curiosity for the sequel now. I read the first book and really didn't enjoy it (the romance wasn't my cup of tea). Would you say this is vastly superior, Shal?

Maas book bar her new Crescent city series (which I'm hoping to get to soon as well) so I definitely consider myself a Maas monstrosity Candy lol. A shame you didn't enjoy the first book my friend, but I would definitely say that (and while the first book spun a fantastic web of magic for me) the sequel is vastly superior! It's the star of the series, so magical, so if you're looking to get re-determined, that's the one I'd go for - I don't want to get your hopes up though Candy, maybe link arms with a strong dose of caution if you weren't feeling the romance in the first, but the romance IS a different flavour, and the hero is just an epic slice of epicness in every proportion 😁🤭... perhaps I'm blinded by my bias but he's just a storm of dreams and magic and I'm known for pushing this book into other readers' hands just because of him 😍

The majority of the positive responses I've seen from reviews are always about Rhysand, so I'm imagining that means he is better than the alpha-practically-abusive LI from the first one. I do remember appreciating the worldbuilding, however! That part was a lot more to my liking than Throne of Glass. I don't mind your bias at all though... it just means you're that much more passionate about the story! Which is an excellent way to talk up a book haha.
I agree about the never ending tbr list and the many books that need to be read. 🙂But, at times I find myself just wanting to find comfort in something I know made me feel good. I get that many times, when I'm stressed out irl or just want to get lost in something else, I find that getting lost in a book that stirred happy emotions for me, is the best to get me happy once again. Have a fun read this year Vaishali, and I hope you meet all your goals.

And definitely! He's almost the precise opposite to the love interest in book one, leagues apart really if you ask me. Every reader will of course have their gripes and such, even with this book but it's all dust debris if you ask me lol. Yes! The world building was another brilliant face to the story, and in this sequel, you'll getter a bigger window into the other courts too. I remember telling a GR friend once that ACOMAF is Feyre's becoming and I still stand by that statement. Aaaw, lol I'm happy to share my stratospheric passion with any who'll listen my friend, biases fully in tact. If ever you do decide to take the leap, I'd be fascinated to see your take 😁

Aaaw, thank you so much Rose. Right back at you my friend, all the best with your 2022 reading! I hope it's been off to a great start so far 😉
