I've taken up sewing because I've been avoiding this book. I think it's pretty sophomoric in it's dialogue and premise and so I haven't wanted to read. I had surgery in early January and haven't read a word since,
Does that ever happen to you? You end up in a slump because you don't like a book? Yes, I read almost exclusively JAFF when I read fiction, and maybe it's that I'm bored with the genre?

A bad book can demoralize a voracious reader. I am going through a similar slump, I haven't been inspired to pick up a book since Tuesday. Now it’s a Sunday afternoon and I'm as awful an object as Mr Darcy with nothing to do… I find that as soon as a book starts to needle you, it’s best to nip that in the bud asap and pick up something else. I usually do that sooner but the book that deflated me was an ARC so I had the obligation to try harder.

I've taken your advice and bought a book that will be released tomorrow, as well as downloaded a new book from KU. Thank you. (Why did I wait so long???)
