The book got really sweet and wholesome, which feels like the calm before a storm. I would have read more, but I need time to mentally prepare for what all the pain I'm sure is coming up ahead.

The characters are really coming into their own now, aong with the magic system. Everything's (almost suspiciously) wholesome. Especially Rayne, and the hints of romance between Aidan and Alice.
