Mrs. Washington was warmhearted. Even though Roger tried stealing her purse, she still cooked him supper, cleaned him up, and bought him new shoes. In the text she says "I would teach you right from wrong. Least I can do right now is to wash your face. Are you hungry." Nevertheless, I can tell that she is thoughtful from her generosity as he was a total stranger, yet she went out of her way to help him.
