I mean, it's interesting, but what is it even about?

Interesting book, but wow there's zero plot urgency... Quite a languid unfurling.

This is slow going...

Some books pull you in. Others have good enough reviews and recommendations that you persist in pushing in.

Almost a hundred pages in, it feels like hard work. Some of the sentence construction is awkward and difficult. But I found the author's second novel to be amazing, so here's hoping this one is as good!
