This book was so good. It really helped give a perspective to me as a white individual to what different races(primarily African American) have to face on a day to day basis. I feel that more needs to be done about the situation highlighted in the book. More people need to stand up. Cause if they don't nothing will change.

Part of me relates to this book. When Quinn says, "I wanted to be...Someone who believed a better world was possible -- someone who stood up for it"(Reynolds 267). I want the same. The world is already so messed up. I want to be there to change it.

I love the symbolism this books uses. Some of the quotes are so impactful and they really make you feel. I really like that about this book.

In All American Boys Rashad's school is hosting a protest to fight for his justice. In response to hearing about this Rashad says, "I would stand with them. That is, if I could get out of the hospital"(Renolds 203). Rashad because of what he's been through is starting to see the anger he has towards the cop that beat him and get justice for the crimes against him. He now see's his worth and is fighting for it.

on page 179 Quinn starts to think about "the idea that [he] could just walk away from everything that was happening to Rashad [and] Paul...and walk away from all of it like a ghost. [So] what kinda of person did that make [him]) and I think that is very powerful. As someone who has thoughts similar to that I relate to him but also his story is different from mine. So I can learn.
