eternally obsessed with the way this chapter begins. feels like the story is taking a very deep breath before shit gets insane. it's very eerie. feels briefly like a different book for a moment.

resa dealing with her husband treating her like a child and leaving her to go through this pregnancy alone while she's viewed as a second-class citizen by so many of the robbers is M A D D E N I N G. she can't even hang out with roxane rn. total isolation

I just refuse to believe fenoglio is meant to be a good guy when he and orpheus literally make the exact same racist comments about farid. ik one of the main themes is how good people are assholes but ANOTHER theme is how evil is so easy and I'm gonna lean into that one instead.

also farid breaking his nose is probably my favorite moment in the whole series
