I really enjoyed the chapter by Tara Holcomb and Aracelia Agular. There were some interesting ideas about how to use interpeters when there are more than two assigned to a conference with mixed methods of information delivery

Basically- if you aren't a Coda, you aren't a good interpreter? This chapter contradicted itself. An interpreter should not insert their opinion but they need to check to ensure students are understanding their classes (not checking if the interpretation is clear) HUH?

Dr. Holcomb really vilifies interpreters in this chapter; as though none of them can take feedback and they are all attempting to gatekeep

I don't understand how the interpreter for a formal English presentation is charged with chunking/ RH-Questions/ allowing for back channeling when they are not the subject matter expert. If the presenter is providing information in a disorganized way, the interpreter cannot always control that.
