Expanding from last time - I had come across this series over a year ago, but the premise didn't pique my interest, so I passed it up. I recently found people listing series to check out, and this one was highlighted more than once, so I figured I was missing out.
It's still not really my taste, but I do see the appeal of protecting primitive women and then... you know. I get it. But I need more than JUST that.

I decided to just power through and skim the rest, because of how disinterested I am. Turns out it ends here, at 37% of the overall collection.
Boring as fuck. Not nearly enough of a hook for a compelling story. The actions Jak takes are stupid. The sex is boring. The relationships are too easy. What a dud of a book. I do not plan to ever continue this series. Maybe if I get truly bored, or forget how I hated this.

These are primitive cavemen, not even capable of metalworking. So the idea that they can understand concepts/use sentences like "activate the ability" or "turn off the ability" is utterly ridiculous.
The threesome scene they've been building to was awful. Give me pleasure, let me pleasure you while you pleasure her, pleasure pleasure pleasure. Terribly written and boring. This book sucks at everything.

The sex scenes are just... not that good. Say what you will about Logan Jacobs; those sex scenes definitely get repetitive and feel copy-pasted after awhile. But the first couple times you read them, they're pretty good. The ones in this book feel rigid and passionless. Very by-the-numbers. And they're over fairly quickly, like the author is meeting a quota and then getting out of dodge as fast as possible.

I don't hate it, but it's still rather uninteresting. Inoffensively boring, I suppose. There still isn't a hook besides generic caveman survival. That isn't enticing enough on its own for me. Maybe this third character will help pick things up, but eh. So far, I wouldn't be continuing this series past this entry due to lack of interest. We'll see how I feel at the end.

I guess I can try to use page count instead of percent for this. The original Kindle Fire I used didn't even have a page count viewable, so I got used to using percentage, and never looked back. I don't think the count is 1-to-1 here, but it'll be closer than the percent, which will never be right.
Anyways, this premise doesn't interest me, which is why I passed it up before. But saw some glowing reviews so idk

Been a spell since I've read a smut book. Decided to go with something completely new rather than what I've already been reading. We'll see how this goes. I have always hated the name Jak. Spell it properly, you lazy asshole.
I'm actually reading the 1-3 collection, so the percentages will be off. I guess 33% will be roughly the end of book 1. As of now I have no intention of reading them all back-to-back.
