We were going along pretty well (except I didn't agree Mary went to the tomb to grieve, I believe she went there to anoint Jesus's body), and then she brought up the idea if we only have hope for the next life and not this life, it's not really Jesus we're hoping in? I'm not sure where she's going. I have chronic pain and there's no cure. So hope for next life and a new body is pretty strong with me.

Jeremiah 29:11 w/ principal of understanding culture, history, and surrounding scripture before claiming prosperity gospel or reading oneself into a verse. I agree with the sentiment on a large scale, and all scripture is breathed out by God, sharper than any two edge sword, living and active. A friend of mine was saved when it was mailed to her on a sales flyer, and God convicted her that her lifestyle was evil.
